Application of botryosphaeran as a carbon black adherent on a glassy carbon electrode for the electrochemical determination of cyclobenzaprine

The present work describes the performance of a new voltammetric sensor based on modification glassy carbon electrodes (GCE) with black (CB) and botryosphaeran (BOT) (CB-BOT/GCE) for electroanalytical determination cyclobenzaprine. BOT is fungal exocellular (1→3)(1→6)-β-ᴅ-glucan, which was used to improve adherence CB onto surface GCE. electrochemical characterisation performed by impedance spectroscopy showed an improvement in transfer electrons developed relation unmodified (bare) behaviour cyclobenzaprine studied using bare GCE, BOT/GCE, CB/GCE, CB-BOT/GCE. All presented oxidation peak (+ 1.0 V) cyclobenzaprine, while intensity CB-BOT/GCE found be 480% higher than Through employing square-wave voltammetry, analytical curve linear over concentration range 2.0 20.6 μmol L−1 (in 0.1 mol NaCl solution) detection limit (based 3-sigma) 0.63 L−1. exhibited excellent sensitivity selectivity successfully applied pharmaceutical, biological, environmental samples first time sensing platform.
